Advanced Astro and Landscape Workshop

Friday June 23rd – Sunday June 25th, 2017
8 spots available – $550 per person

For folks who have been wanting to step their game up and get to the professional level with Astro and Landscape photography this two night outing is just for you.  We will meet Friday late afternoon in Pisgah National Forest for a short hike to our first location, warming up with a sunset over the Blue ridge Mountains, and then spending the night shooting star filled skies and camping out by a fire. After sunrise we will quickly head for a waterfall before the sun gets too harsh, after that it’s time for breakfast then a break to rest up or prepare for round two! Saturday afternoon we will begin a Moderate (3.5 -4 Mile) hike to a secret bald for sunset, this dark skies mountain top will be the perfect place to camp out and hone in on some more Astro techniques as well! Throughout each night we will cover how to focus at night, how to expose properly for night sky’s, composition, incorporating foreground elements and setting yourself up for perfectly exposed night images. One more sunrise, followed by a hike back, once we get to the vehicles we are going to dive in on some advanced editing at my favorite spot for breakfast. Campsites will be available and gear can be rented too if need be!
