For folks who have been wanting to dive into Astrophotography this two night outing will get the wheels spinning and take the hassle out of learning the art of Astrophotography. We will meet Friday evening in the mountains outside of Maggie Valley, NC for a short hike to our first location, spending the night shooting and camping out by a fire. After sunrise we will get breakfast and and go over some editing techniques. We will then take a break and the students can rest up or prepare for round two! Saturday afternoon we will begin a 3.5 mile hike to a dark skies mountain top to camp out and hone in on some more Astro techniques! Throughout the nights we will cover how to focus at night, how to expose properly for night sky’s, basic composition, incorporating foreground elements and some editing. Campsites will be available and gear can be rented too if need be!
